There's been a distinct lack of posting around here lately, simply because I've been as sick as a dog. These photos were snapped in the height of what I can only describe as man flu x100 and it was not pretty.I did however, have the best time in London - for what felt like the first time in a long time. I always visit and then can't wait to leave again because it's so goddamn expensive, stressful and...well, really bloody stressful. But this time I gave myself time to pre-book a cheap ass train and made firm plans of everything I wanted to do at least a week before visiting and even though I was super poorly, the whole trip felt so much easier.I spent some quality time with one of my favourite internet to IRL pals, Lindsey, attended the best blogger event I've ever been invited to and got to see my lady Laura not once but twice. It was marvellous.SO, the outfit. What with being ill, comfort was at the forefront of my mind. I had a fever, which meant all of the layers were required, y'know so that I could rip off tops and jumpers at any given opportunity without the fear of being topless on Oxford Street. And even though we're mid December it was still mild enough for me to have my pins out, even if they are ghostly white.I treated myself to this Topshop coat a few weeks ago and I've been living in it since. Khaki is the closest I've got to colourful this season and I'm not sorry about it, not one bit. Paired with a cropped jumper, t-shirt, my favourite pair of culottes and new boots I was all set. I've wanted to get my hands on a pair of Dr Martens for as long as I can remember and I love the masculine feel that this pair bring to the outfit.I'm still feeling sorry for myself in my sick bed, but I'm certainly on the mend and think I'll be rocking this look for a wee while longer, if the weather let's me.You can shop my look here:
