LAYERING IN SUMMER.
Layering clothes is my favourite part of the Autumn/Winter wardrobe. I've always found summer styling pretty difficult as simply wearing a top and shorts doesn't particularly excite me - but thanks to Miss Patina, I've discovered something pretty darn exciting.
With a sheer dress or top you can add a whole other element to your outfit - I like to think of it as the smarter, more sophisticated, bikini beach throw over.
Some of us love a good crop top, the ones that show off just a hint of our midriffs; but sometimes it's just not appropriate to have your tummy out, or perhaps you're not feeling overly comfortable that day - this is where a sheer item comes in handy. You can simply throw it on over any two piece and away you go.
I've seen it done a lot with mesh and body-con, but it's really refreshing to see it in a more girly, delicately feminine style. I'm head over heels for the polka-dot detailing to the body and the tear-drop pearls on the sleeves with this one - and the way it clashes with the print of the two piece underneath, but makes it pop at the same time.
