Rocket House Poppit Pembrokeshire

I recently had some film developed from our trip to Pembrokeshire, and thought it would be nice to share a little photo diary here.

We stayed in the small and beautiful settlement Poppit - at the lovely Rocket House. The house is situated on Pembrokeshire’s Coastal Path, tucked away in the hills, overlooking Poppit Sands beach - meaning whichever turn you take, you’re certain to find the most stunning views and wildlife. And to warm up after a windy walk, at the bottom of the hill is CRWST cafe, with delicious homemade food, pastries and coffees.

Being by the coast in winter is my favourite time to visit. Minimal crowds, the dogs can run freely on most beaches and there’s something incredibly calming about the crisp, cold air and crashing waves. Each time I visit I ask myself why I haven’t yet made the move to a life by the sea.

During our stay we ventured into neighbouring towns and villages, like St Dogmaels and Cardigan, to potter around the shops and historic sights. But for the most part we simply enjoyed walking the stunning coastal path with the dogs, afternoons playing scrabble by Rocket’s eco-wood burner, and cosy evenings with home cooked dinners overlooking Poppit Sands Beach.

The owners Cari & Duncan have created something so incredibly special at Rocket House, we didn’t want to leave - and absolutely can’t wait to come back.

And I think Poppit speaks for itself really. The name alone makes you want to re-locate immediately doesn’t it?

If you’d like to see more from our trip, I have a highlight saved to my instagram titled ‘Pembrokeshire’ featuring more snaps from our stay! View here.
