TWO SIDES TO A STORY.

This post is a paid partnership with Ice-Watch.

When it comes to my career there’s definitely two very different sides to my style. I spend the majority of the week at home, and all I’ll really consider when getting dressed (if I do!) is comfort. I find it very difficult to maintain motivation if I don’t get up and get out of my pj’s on a morning - being freelance the temptation is very real and it’s exactly the reason that comfort prevails when dropping my dressing gown. I know lots of people opt for ‘activewear’ when working from home, but truth be told, I don’t own a gym membership and right now I’d rather spend my spare pennies on bits for my new home! So utilising my daily basics is a must.

The same goes for my beauty bag - there’s nothing I enjoy more than getting up, washing my face, moisturising and then letting my skin breathe every single day of the week.On the flip side, a day out of the office is always an exciting one for my wardrobe. I really value the time to experiment with the clothes that I have and picking out what to wear is exciting because I don’t do it every day. Whether it’s clashing prints or winter layering, I love it all. It’s also a prime time to experiment with my makeup; the utter joy of testing new products will never get old and not wearing makeup everyday means I’ll look forward to it more when I do.Basically, managing it the way I do simply encourages me to not get stuck in a rut with my daily styling, keeping it fresh - be it makeup or clothes. And I’m totally in love with the fact that I have the option. When I get dressed, I can literally be whoever I want to be - and that truly does have an effect on how the day will go for me. And that’s where Ice-Watch comes in. I’m working with them on this blog post and and they’ve challenged me to create two outfits to demonstrate the contrasting aspects of my career. The glamorous and the…not so glamorous.I knew that the white ICE glam watch would be a perfect fit for my working from home style. A t-shirt and jeans has been my go-to for the whole of this year and I’ve absolutely zero regrets. 2017 has seen me go from never wearing colour, to opting for it most days. I find it oddly motivating to wear lighter colours when working from home, and have found myself falling in love with a more neutral palette. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t still love the dark side ;) As soon as I saw the black ICE glam watch I knew it would be a match made in heaven with this slip dress. The glittery stars and the rose gold hardware compliment each other beautifully - I’m a sucker for accessories that bring an outfit together. These watches will fit seamlessly in to any wardrobe and the buttery soft silicone strap means it’s irresistibly comfortable, for whichever side of your life you’re catering for! What are the contrasting sides of your personality? I’d love to know :)You can pick up the white watch here and the black watch here.
