3 VINTAGE DRESSES.

3 VINTAGE DRESSES.

Shopping vintage has long been a favourite of mine, but what about when it comes to occasion wear?We all love ourselves some vintage Levi's or a pre-loved handbag, but how often do you think of shopping vintage for an evening look?Last year I added three new beautiful dresses to my collection, each incredibly special and unique. The main question I was asked when I bought them was:

"Where will you wear this?!"

My answer? An occasion will absolutely come around and I'll be so pleased I had these beauties ready and waiting. The point I'm trying to make is, don't let a gem pass you by, especially when it's vintage. If you find a vintage dress you adore, snap it up. Shopping vintage when you have an occasion in the coming weeks is enough to make any of us feel anxious, but if you've already bagged a beauty? You're sorted.

THE BLACK ONE.

THE BLACK DRESS - £15

Discovered in the depths of a vintage store in Northamptonshire was this gothic glamorous dream. £15 and as soon as I slipped it on I knew it had to be mine. The flute sleeves, sparkly underlay and sheer skirt made my heart skip a beat.(Shop the shoes)

THE ORANGE ONE.

THE ORANGE DRESS - £95

Metallic, lurex and luxurious. Finished to the highest standard with a dainty collar ruff, flared cuff and low waist. I nabbed this at extreme speed from Peony Vintage on instagram. I saw it and felt the quality through the internet - something that's hard to achieve online and I just adored it.Arguably the glam-est out of the bunch, I will need a pretty sparkly occasion to strut my stuff in it. But whenever I put this on I feel a million bucks and that's one of the best feelings.

THE FLORAL ONE.

THE FLORAL DRESS - £30

Be still my beating heart. I adore this dress and everything about it. In July last year, Jamie and I were wandering up and down Frome's cobbled streets and found a little vintage store. I think it was called The Dandy Lion. Pulling this dress out from the rails, I tried it on for fun and then fell head over heels. I could actually imagine wearing a dress like this on my wedding day - it just has everything I admire about dress making and it's without doubt one of the most beautiful things I own.(Shop the shoes)
