Since going for the chop with my hair, I've had a few messages from you lovely lot asking whether shorter hair is higher maintenance.In my opinion? No.I found having longer hair far more difficult to style and it took a lot more time.Having a long bob makes my hair feel weightless. But I think my favourite thing is the ability to now just get up and go. THE DENMAN TANGLE TAMER BRUSH

is my all time favourite. It has super soft bristles which don't tug or pull on your hair and just glide through gently. It probably goes without saying that you should give your hair a good brush before you start styling!

CLOUD 9 SMALL CURLING WAND

If you're after loose, soft waves over tight, strong ringlets then this is the wand for you. For me, it just gives a really natural wave that adds volume and texture without being over the top.I use this on the higher heat setting and simply wrap random bits of my hair clockwise around the wand. I do separate my hair into two sections to make sure I'm getting enough volume underneath - but I don't spend time worrying whether every strand of hair has been curled. Sometimes less effort is more!

LARRY KING VOLUMIZING MIST

This is bloody lovely. With the texture of a salt spray but with the height of dry shampoo - it's my favourite way to add definition and a little volume with just one product. I simply spritz this through the mid-end lengths of my hair and scrunch upwards with my hands.

PAUL MITCHELL STAY STRONG HAIRSPRAY

To keep the slight wave, wavy I add a good spritz of hairspray. This one from Paul Mitchell is great for keeping hold without being crispy. Lifting up parts of your hair, or even throwing your head upside down is a great way to ensure you're not weighing your hair down with the hairspray just on the top layer of your barnet.And hey presto, you're good to go!It's the kind of hairstyle you can rock in a middle parting or whip it side to side to keep the volume going - whichever you prefer.What do you think?
